Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC Coming to Arkham Knight
While PC players are still waiting for the next patch to fix the optimisation issues with Batman: Arkham Knight, good news can still come for console owners at least. Today, the first piece of downloadable content has been announced and will feature Batgirl.
Batgirl: A Matter of Family will put the player in the role of Batgirl, one of the characters we have yet to be able to play as in the game. The DLC will feature an all-new location and will span multiple missions, side quests and secrets. A new hacking feature has been introduced as part of the puzzle solving aspect of the game. Dual play, which was part of the main game, will also be used, with Robin adding some dynamic takedown manoeuvres.
Batgirl: A Matter of Family was developed by WB Games Montreal, and built using the Batman: Arkham Knight Engine built by Rocksteady studios.
Coming July 14, and available as part of the season pass, it will cost £5.79 as a separate piece of DLC. This can be downloaded from the Playstation Network and Xbox Live.
Interestingly there is no mention of the DLC for the PC as of yet, with the press release only mentioning that the PC version of the game will be coming in a matter of weeks. Hopefully when the game has been patched and is at a suitable level of optimisation to be re-released, we’ll know when the DLC will be available.
For the people who already own the PC version and have the Season Pass it will be interesting to see if the DLC becomes available.
