Expect Fallout Shelter for Android in August, More Details are Coming
One question raised when Fallout Shelter was released onto the world was where was the Android version? The answer to that was that it was coming soon. Today we had a hint on Twitter just when it may be making an appearance.
@kolos_kovacs coming along nice. haven't announced a date, but should be out next month. we'll let you know when we have specifics

While it may be July 1st and just stating “next month” is somewhat vague at least that is a positive sign that the Android version is on its way. This does seem quite a delay when compared to how long the iOS version has been out, but at least it is finally coming and Android users can get building up their Vault and meeting some of the legendary characters that are starting to appear.
With Pete Hines answer this will hopefully mean that more specific details will be coming soon, probably in the form of a press release.
Fallout Shelter gives the player the ability to build their own Vault and look after their own dwellers. With the inclusion of Preston Garvey the leader of the Commonwealth Minutemen, this hints that as we get closer to the release of Fallout 4 we’ll get to see more of the characters from the upcoming game making an appearance.
It will be interesting to see just what Bethesda do to keep people interested in Fallout Shelter, and what plans they have for the game on the run up to Fallout 4’s November release. As a free to play game, it is a novel marketing tool to use in conjunction with their new major release.
