Bethesda Outlines Fallout 4 Life-Size Pip-Boy Phone Compatibility

Bethesda has shared brand new information related to Fallout 4 Pip-Boy phone compatibility and has shared smartphone dimensions so as to give fans an idea whether their smartphone will support the life-size Pip-Boy model or not.

The company has clarified that the Pip-Boy will also contain foam inserts that will fit iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPhone 4, Samsung Galaxy S5, and Samsung Galaxy S4. Moreover, using the customized foam inserts, users should be able to fit most of the popular handheld devices.

Bethesda has also confirmed that any smartphone device which is larger than the listed models will not sit inside the wearable device, but the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy companion app will be available across all devices:

“As we wanted to stay faithful to the dimensions of the in-game model, any smartphones larger than the models listed will not fit inside the wearable device. For these larger devices, our Pip-Boy companion app will still be available.”

The company also noted that without the foam insert, the cavity of the Pip-Boy for a phone measures 141.2mm x 71.6mm x 10.2mm and also provided a couple of images of the foam inserts.

Fallout 4 is scheduled to arrive on Nov. 10, 2015 for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
