Microsoft Reveals Gamescom 2015 Plans, Scalebound, Quantum Break, and Crackdown

Now that the dust has settled and E3 is over,  eyes turn to the next gaming event, Gamescom 2015 in Cologne, Germany to see what games will be featured and what updates will be made. Today Xbox’s Major Nelson revealed a few details to let us know what the Microsoft company will be showing at the event.

For the eagle-eyed gamers they will have noticed that Scalebound, Quantum Break, and Crackdown were three games that weren’t featured at E3.  The good news for those looking forward to hearing about these can expect to see them at Gamescom. It’ll be interesting to see if there is any gameplay footage from Crackdown.

For those able to arrive in person, here are when the Xbox Booth will be available:

Wednesday, August 5, 9:00am to 7:00pm CEST (Note: this is for press/trade only)

Thursday, August 6, 10:00am to 8:00pm CEST

Friday, August 7, 10:00am to 8:00pm CEST

Saturday, August 8, 10:00am to 8:00pm CEST

Sunday, August 9, 9:00am to 6:00pm CEST

At the booth, gamers will be able to try out or watch presentations on some of the new games including Halo 5: Guardians, Forza Motorsports 6, and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

For Xbox fans, there will also be an Xbox FanFest: Gamescom 2015 event which will take place on the Tuesday (August 4) to Wednesday (August 5) that will offer groups of fans access to some Xbox games as well as some other surprises. Details of these will be revealed closer to the event.

With the games mentioned above, especially Scalebound, Quantum Break, and Crackdown, Microsoft is obviously gearing up to be a major presence at the event.
