Call of Duty Black Ops 3 for the first time introduces co-op campaign, and to make things more social, developers are adding a new Safe House Social System. Contrary to previous reports, the Safe House system will be exclusive to the campaign mode.

Talking about the game, Treyarch recently said that they are working on a new social system that will arc over all three mature modes of the game.

So naturally, it was assumed that Safe House is the one which spreads across all game modes, where players will be able to use XP points to unlock different items and weapons.

However, it has now been clarified by Treyarch’s Twitter account, that Safe House is limited to campaign mode, while a separate social architecture is in place for other modes.

Well, that clears things up.

How the social system will work in other modes remains a mystery at this point, but we can expect more details soon. Call of Duty Black Ops 3 is heading to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC later this year.
