PES 2016 PC Petition Rejects Any ‘Hybrid’ Release
Last week, it was revealed that PES 2016 on the PC will not be on par with the versions of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The revelation brought up fears within the hearts of fans, based on what happened with last year’s iteration.
“It’s not the same as PS4 or Xbox One, not the same PS3 and 360. It’s its own thing,” said Adam Bhatti, PES brand manager, about the latest PES. That sounds fairly similar to how Konami announced the PC version of PES 2015.
Last year’s game was identical to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions in terms of graphical prowess, and on top of that was missing key features such as the improved responsiveness from the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. Even though they called it a “hybrid,” PES 2015 was anything but.
In the wake of this all, fans have started an online petition to request Konami to have the PC version release with all features from the current-gen consoles.
PES community manager Adam Bhatti announced on twitter did PES 2016 will not have the same features as on the next generation system PS4 and Xbox One. This is the same strategy as last year and it is not fair to treat the loyal customers like this the second year in a row. We do not want a hybrid version. We want the same game like on the next gen system.
Launched just a few days ago, the petition hasn’t garnered any attention so far. Perhaps that speaks for its community. If you’re willing to help out with their cause, head here to drop in your vote.
PES 2016 releases this September for all platforms.
