PlayStation App Updated On Android and iOS, Check Out The Patch Notes

Sony Computer Entertainment has updated the PlayStation App on mobile devices. The latest update is available on Android and iOS which brings these versions up to 2.55.8 and 2.55.7 respectively.

We’ll be seeing changes related to PlayStation Store and Broadcasting. Patch notes are detailed below:

Android

  • PS Store can now be opened within PlayStation®App.
  • PlayStation™Network Card numbers and promotion codes can now be entered within PlayStation®App.
  • Comments that you receive while broadcasting from your PS4™ system can now be displayed on the second screen.

iOS

  • PlayStation™Network Card numbers and promotion codes can now be entered within PlayStation®App.
  • Comments that you receive while broadcasting from your PS4™ system can now be displayed on the second screen.

Version 2.55.8 for Android is available at Google Play, while PlayStation App version 2.55.7 can be download via iTunes.

One of the notable features to come with the new versions, one that is not explicitly detailed in the patch notes, is the ability to scan redeemable codes via your smartphones camera. That’s in addition to being able to enter codes within the PlayStation App.
