Fallout 4 Players Can Switch Between Codsworth and Dogmeat
Fallout 4 players will pick either Codsworth or Dogmeat at the start of the game to be their companion for their journey. However, what if you begin to reconsider your decision later on?
According to Bethesda’s marketing executive Pete Hines, players will be able to switch between the companions if they want to. If you find Dogmeat to be a bit too annoying, you can simply head back to where you started and switch with Codsworth as your new companion. The switch can happen at any point in the game, but only at the designated location.
Codsworth and Dogmeat are simply more than companions you talk to between missions. Each comes with different skills and abilities that can be most useful in situations. Additionally, they give you different hints to uncover points-of-interests in the same area.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Fallout 4 on the current consoles will be able to take advantage of the modding community on PC. This is a huge announcement for console owners. I give the game a month before we see packs of different mods heading online. This time around, the console owners get to enjoy them as well.
Fallout 4 is scheduled to arrive on November 10 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Amongst rumors of a last-gen release, Bethesda has confirmed that Fallout 4 will never released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 because of the aging and limiting hardware.
