Halo 5’s Spartan Locke No Longer Voiced by Mike Colter
In the chaos of E3 announcements can go unnoticed and this may be what happened with some Halo 5: Guardians news. Spartan Locke who has been voiced by Mike Colter in the past has had a change of voice, though not a change in likeness.
While the character will still keep the looks of Mike Colter, he will now be voiced by Ike Amadi. This change can be seen on IMDB and has already been confirmed on twitter:

It may come as a surprise to some though that the news had apparently gone unnoticed but with all of the excitement of E3 this does happen.
Fans are more interested in seeing new gameplay and getting more information about what is in the game, often changes in the voice actors are noticed later when things have calmed down. As it seems is the case here.
Spartan Locke is important to the world of Halo, especially moving into Halo 5 so I’m sure more people will notice the voice change as we see more of the game, though with the likeness remaining the same this may stay an issue that lacks any importance to some.
With the release of Halo 5 being October 27th, we may get to hear more from the character and difference will be noticed, maybe we’ll also find out just why the change was made.
