Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands is Set in a Massive Open World, Coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Ubisoft has announced Ghost Recon: Wildlands at the end of their E3 2015 Press Conference.

Unlike previous entries in the series which were primarily military-focused, the upcoming installment will take an open-world approach. The trailer provided a mix of CG elements and in-game footage and showed players traversing a number of landscapes in a variety of vehicles including jet-skis, armoured trucks, and more.

As far as Ghost Recon: Wildlands’ setting is concerned, the game takes place in South America with players trying to take on various drug lords plaguing the region. The official description of the upcoming game reads:

“Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is the first military shooter set in a massive and responsive open world, entirely playable in 4 player co-op or solo.”

Although no release date has been provided, Ghost Recon: Wildlands is scheduled to arrive on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
