Gears 4 Shown at E3 2015, Coming Holiday 2016 Exclusively for Xbox One
The Coalition (formally known as Black Tusk Studios) appeared on Microsoft’s E3 2015 press conference and showed off the next Gears of War formally known as Gears 4.
The few minutes footage that we received was nothing short of impressive to say the least! The gameplay footage that we saw showed off a couple of heavily armoured hunters (an unknown female character and male character called JD) exploring a cavern infested with monsters.
From the looks of it, the game does look to stick to the roots of the franchise. Many of the features of the original installments are still there in the upcoming iteration – there is a lot of blind firing, cover mechanics, and of course, bloody executions.
It is also interesting to note that although the game is being referred to as Gears 4, it is actually fifth installment in the franchise after the Marcus Fenix Trilogy and Gears of War: Judgement.
In related Gears of War news, The Coalition also announced the long rumoured Gears of War remaster known as Gears of War: Ultimate Edition (a remaster of the original Gears of War game) exclusively for Xbox One which is scheduled to arrive in August 2015.
Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will run at native 1080p and 60 Frames per Second and will also have dedicated Multiplayer Mode.
Lastly, Rod Fergusson also announced that Xbox Live Gold Members can gain access to Gears of War: Ultimate Edition beta starting this very moment.
Gears 4 will appear exclusively for Xbox One in Holidays Season 2016.
