New Transformers Title in Development, Will Feature Cel-Shaded Graphics

Activision has the rights for the Transformers games, and the last time we saw one was last year, in the form of the pretty average Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Apparently, Activision is readying another Transformers game. This time however, the game will be cel-shaded. Cel-shading is pretty widely used by many developers, and is a way to make the graphics look cartoony yet artistic. Game such as Street Fighter 4 and most TellTale games have used it.

According to PureBox, the game to be released will be called Transformers: Devastation, and will be a brawler. The company is expected to announce the title during next week’s E3 conference.

Like its predecessor, Transformers: Devastation is expected to come out for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. There is general suggestion that the title might be released this year, but at the moment, there are only just a handful of screenshots to go with.

Expect the game to be revealed during Microsoft’s Xbox conference. At the moment, there is absolutely no indication of which team is developing the title, but it is confirmed that it is being supervised and published by Activision.
