Following the closure of Xbox Entertainment Studios, fans of Halo: The Television Series feared for the fate of the show.

Responding to fans over NeoGaf, Halo’s Development Director, Frank O’Connor confirmed that the television series has not been scrapped.

“You’d be wrong,” said O’Connor in response to a fan mentioning the supposed cancellation of Halo: The Television Series.

The TV show was announced back at the #XboxReveal event and is produced by Steven Spielberg. It has been reported that the budget and production value of the show resembles that of HBO’s popular TV adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire. According to Microsoft’s Phil Spencer, the said show will not be a ‘filler’ and will have ties with Halo: Nightfall.
