Star Wars: Battlefront is confirmed to feature C-3PO, and is a product of close collaboration between DICE and the creators of the Star Wars epic saga Lucasfilms.

According to EA Community Manager Mathew Everett on reddit, the development of the game is in close collaboration with Lucasfilms.

In fact, the sharing of ideas is happening so frequently, that the newly featured planet Sullust in the Star Wars comics was actually the brainchild of the game.

“The Sullust they use within the comic is based on the Sullust we’re introducing into the Star Wars universe in Star Wars Battlefront. This has been a part of the collaboration we have had with Lucas over the last few years.”

The same is also true for the Mega Troopers, which is another outcome of the collaboration between the two. Mathew also revealed how there are actually unique mission maps for specific parts of the game, which are completely separate from the conventional multiplayer maps.

“Mission maps are unique to Missions. The map count we revealed includes only Multiplayer maps from the base game (12 maps). We also have the two extra free maps that will come with the Battle of Jakku. The Battle of Jakku maps will arrive starting on December 1st or December 8th depending if you pre-ordered, which gives us 14 maps total before The Force Awakens arrives in theaters. We will reveal the full Mission map count in the near future.”

In addition to this, C-3PO voice actor Anthony Daniels also confirmed on Twitter that his famous golden robot character will also be featuring in the game.

Star Wars: Battlefront is set to be released on November 17 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

EA has also confirmed that there will certainly be additional content revealed about the game in the upcoming E3 press conference.
