Batman: Arkham Knight Video Shows Nvidia GameWorks in Action

By   /   Jun 7, 2015

Graphics cards manufacturer Nvidia has released a new video to showcase the “incredible effects” in Batman: Arkham Knight, which will be only possible if you own one of the company’s card that supports its GameWorks technology.

Batman: Arkham Knight already looks impressive enough. Nvidia’s GameWorks adds a few sprinkles on top with additional effects like interactive smoke during the fight scenes, paper debris being disturbed, improved water and rain effects, and more.

From the video, here’s what Nvidia GameWorks will be adding:

  • Interactive Fog and Smoke
  • Interactive Paper Debris
  • PhysX Destruction
  • Enhanced Rain

It goes without saying that enabling all of these features will take quite a toll on your system. We won’t know until after the release of the game of just how much that burden is going to be. With The Withcher 3: Wild Hunt, there was a significant 10-15 FPS drop.

Recently it was revealed that Batman: Arkham Knight is going to be a 45 GB download on all three platforms. Those on the Xbox One can pre-order a copy now and proceed to pre-download the game ahead of time.

After multiple delays, Rocksteady’s latest Arkham title is finally going to release on June 23 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
