Developers of Far Cry 2 Reveal New Racing-FPS Hybrid BIOS

Various developers of Ubisoft’s Far Cry 2 had left the large firm and formed their own studio called PIXYUL, and they have revealed their first ever project under that name in the form of BIOS.

BIOS is being termed as a “racing first person shooter” genre game, and it’s fairly obvious from its name that it combines elements of racing simulators and classic first-person shooters. The Montreal-based studio is developing the game on the amazing Unreal Engine 4 from Epic Games, and it seems that it will primarily be a multiplayer-focused title.

BIOS takes place inside a training simulator that tasks players with completing challenge courses as quickly and efficiently as possible. The game’s concept is a little odd, but judging from how neat Far Cry 2 was, there’s every likelihood that it could turn out to be a success.

BIOS is available now on Steam Early Access, and it comes with 7 environments and 21 map challenges.

Check out the trailer, and let us know what you think about this unique concept.
