Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Releases in October, Comes With Uncharted 4 Beta Code
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection has been officially confirmed by Sony for a release this October.
The collection will include remastered editions of the first three Uncharted titles: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. These will be running in native 1080p and at 60 frames-per-second.
According to developer Naughty Dog, the HD iterations come with improved lighting, models and textures. The gameplay has also been tweaked in various ways to give players an even better experience. More on this aspect and other features will be announced on a later date.
Note, though, that the games will only include the single-player campaigns, and their respective multiplayer modes will be disabled by default. Additionally, the collection will be bundled with a multiplayer beta code for the upcoming Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Details on this will also be provided later on.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will release with support for Trophies, and everybody’s favorite, a Photo Mode. While Sony will probably do a detailed post on the features of the Photo Mode, you can rest assure that it will come with various color settings and other configurations to give you the most innovative way of capturing an amazing Uncharted shot.
Pre-ordering the collection will get early buyers the Nathan Drake Pack, which includes various outfits for Drake, and golden AK-47 and 92FS guns. If you pre-order the digital download via the PlayStation Store, you will also get an Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection PS4 dynamic theme.
Bluepoint Games is handling the remastering of the Uncharted games. The studio has previously been behind the Xbox 360 port of Titanfall.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will be available on October 7 in Europe and October 9 in North America, for the PlayStation 4.
