Need for Speed

We knew that the next Need for Speed game was going to come out this year but no one knew exactly when because the developers put a lid on that.

It appears, however, that Microsoft didn’t get covered under that lid – or at least the guy putting up the game on the Xbox One Store didn’t. According to this listing, the game is going to come out on November 3, 2015!

We had seen reports on the internet that the Need for Speed listing had been taken down but apparently it is back up again on a new URL, and interestingly, Microsoft has not removed the release date from it.

Discover the nocturnal open world of urban car culture, driven by 5 unique ways to play and win, in this thrilling reboot of Need for Speed™. Carve your own unique path, via multiple overlapping stories, gaining reputation on your journey to become the ultimate icon.

Of course that is not all that the Xbox One store said about the game. It was a full product listing so they talked about some of the features too like the setting of the game, play modes and customization.

  • Rich Authentic Customization: Build a car that reflects your character through extensive visual and performance customization.
  • Five Ways to Play: Need for Speed returns with 5 unique ways to play, Speed, Style, Build, Crew and Outlaw, enabling you to earn reputation and ultimately win your way.
  • West Coast Urban Setting: Discover a nocturnal open world of urban car culture you never knew existed. Ventura Bay is your urban playground; from downtown, the harbour and the canyons, the city comes alive while you sleep.

Of course there is a lot more that needs to be detailed about each of these areas in Need for Speed, but isn’t it awesome that might just have found out when the game will release?
