MGS V: Konami Reveals “The Burning Man” Figurine
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom is getting yet another figurine, The Burning Man, in addition to the previously revealed Big Boss and Quiet (with squeezable boobs).
The Burning Man is so far the most creepy yet coolest figurine we have seen for The Phantom Pain. The Burning Man is shown covered in fire, literally (fake fire of course).
Play Arts Kai shared some images with us to give a better look at this awesome piece of plastic, rubber and what not.
If you are having a hard time remembering who he is, rewind your memory a bit to the point where you first saw MGS V: The Phantom Pain trailer, where snake was trying to escape from a hospital.
A man rises from the flames:
It has been speculated that this man is non-other than Volgin, Snake’s nemesis from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The following image pretty much confirms it’s him.
See those bullets between his fingers? That’s Volgin’s MO.
This still doesn’t mean that Volgin is alive and will make an appearance in the game. However, the possibility can’t be ruled out considering..well.. it’s Kojima’s game so anything is possible.
The figurine in question is slated for a release in September and is priced at ¥14,800 (about $122.25). Meanwhile, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain hits retail on September 1 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
