The Witcher 3 Places of Power Locations Guide

The Witcher 3 Places of Power Locations

Places of Power when visited for the first time, will net you 1 Character Ability Point. In addition to Character Ability Points, Places of Power also provide significant time boost to all Signs.

White Orchard

Southern White Orchard
Boost: Yrden Sign boost

There is a road that adjoins the Abandoned Village and a bridge leading to Ransacked Village. You need to head south from the road to find this Place of Power guarded by a Level 6 bear.

Abandoned Village
Boost: Quen Sign boost

You need to travel to the southwestern forest from the Abandoned Village to find this Place of Power unguarded.

Vulpine Woods
Boost: Axii Sign boost

To access this Place of Power, you need to travel to the northwestern edge of the Woesong Bridge. From the area, head to the Nilfgaardian Garrison inside the jungle to find a Level 6 Wraith guarding the sacred place.

White Orchard Cemetery
Boost: Igni Sign boost

You’ll find this sacred area inside a cemetery near the north-side of the inn in the White Orchard. For a better reference, look for it at the opposite side of the chapel. Moreover, beware of a Level 7 Wraith roaming the area.

Northern White Orchard
Boost: Aard Sign boost

In order to find this Place of Power, you need to travel north from the last Place of Power; near the eastern edge of Nilfgaardian Garrison. The area is guarded by a monster with some Level 2 Ghouls.

Northeastern White Orchard
Boost: Quen Sign boost

To access the last Place of Power in the White Orchard, you need to head north from the Crossroads Fast Travel sign. Continue along the path and you’ll find it near a large monsters’ nest.

Novigrad, Valen, No Man’s Land

Elector’s Square
Boost: Igni Sign boost

This Place of Power is located near the Elector’s Square Signpost. The place is pretty straightforward to approach. You just need to make sure to avoid engaging the city guarding roaming the area.

Downwarren
Boost: Yrden Sign boost

The Place of Power is located on the western side of the Downwarren; on top of a mountain. The best idea is to reach the base of the mountain and climb to the very top.

Lornruk
Boost: Quen Sign boost

This Place of Power is located in the middle of an isolated beach brimming with Drowners. In order to access the Place of Power, you need to either get yourself a boat or jump into the water from the adjacent cliffs.

Frischlow
Boost: Aard Sign boost

This Place of Power is located in the marshes located on the south side of the Frischlow. You can easily find Frischlow on the south side of the Fyke Isle. A quick warning: you will come across a Level 16 Wraith guarding the Place of Power.

In case you wish to access it early in the game, make sure to head straight for the Place and Power and leave as soon as possible.

Alness
Boost: Axii Sign boost

You can find this Place of Power on top of a hill near the village of Alness. Moreover, if you stand right next to the Place of Power, you’ll be able to see the east side of the Novigrad.

Skellige

Svorlag
Boost: Igni Sign boost

This Place of Power is located on the west side of a mountain overlooking the Svorlag village. You can check out the video above for better references!

Gedyneith
Boost: Aard Sign boost

In order to reach this Place of Power, you need to follow the road from the north side of the Redgill. The only problem is a cyclops roaming the area which can cause a lot of trouble if not avoided!

Fornhala
Boost: Axii Sign boost

In order to reach this Place of Power, you need to continue along the mountainous path near the south side of the abandoned village of Fornhala. As for the threats, there are none guarding the Place of Power.

Harviken
Boost: Yrden Sign boost

You can access this Place of Power near the west side of Harviken on the Faroe Isle; near the Freya. The place is not hard to reach, but a bunch of White Werewolves roaming the area make it difficult to interact with the monument.

Yngvar’s Fang
Boost: Quen Sign boost

The last Place of Power in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt can be found at Yngvar’s Fang, above the Urialla Harbor. It’s a long climb from the north-west side of the ‘Trail to Yngvar’s Fang’ signpost. You can check out the our video guide above for better references.
