Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Collector’s Edition Sold Out in UK
Reports indicate that the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Collector’s Edition has already sold out in the UK.
The £99.99 special edition was exclusive to retailer GAME in the region, and came with a copy of the full game packaged in a collectible Steelbook, a replica of Snake’s bionic arm, a physical map pinpointing crucial areas, in-game DLC, and a behind-the-scenes documentary.
The Collector’s Edition was available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The latter platform was a bit of a surprise, since it’s seldom that we see a well-put Collector’s Edition released for the Windows platform as well.
According to GAME, all units for all three platforms have been sold out, and will not be replenished any time soon. Those in UK are now left with the option of pre-ordering the Day 1 Physical Edition which comes with a selection of in-game content, an online XP boost, and a physical map.
This is priced at £59.99 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and £49.99 on PS3 and Xbox 360.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is going to launch on September 1 for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. The PC version will arrive late on September 15. The Day 1 Edition will become available with the official release dates of the coinciding platforms.
