By   /   Apr 30, 2015

Terra Battle has now been downloaded on smartphones more than two million times, developer Mistwalker revealed today.

Besides it being a major milestone for the popular RPG, this also means that Terra Battle has reached the last threshold of its “Download Starter” campaign. According to that, development of a console version of the game will begin right away.

Mistwalker, however, stated that it has no plans to drop the campaign. Seeing the positive response from the community, the campaign will continue its course, with the developer setting plans for future milestone rewards.

Additionally, to celebrate the game’s success, a special in-game event will run from April 30 to May 4, rewarding players with a single energy per day.

“We are truly humbled to see Terra Battle achieve this milestone. As every player download expanded both the scope of our game and our imagination to create a richer experience for the fans,” said Mistwalker founder Hironobu Sakaguchi. “With the console game of Terra Battle underway and the next phase of the Download Starter campaign in motion, we are eager to see how the game will evolve in the coming months.”

Terra Battle was released on October 9 last year for the iOS and Android platforms.
