Team Fortress 2 is Getting Competitive Matchmaking
Team Fortress 2 is one of the game’s that Valve Corporation has been recognized for and even after being out there for nearly eight years, fans have not grown tired of it.
However, there has been one thing that almost every regular player of the game has wished for at least once i.e. competitive matchmaking.
Like any good multiplayer title, Team Fortress 2 would do much more good with the feature and it could also be the reason why tons of the fans will return to playing it again.
That right there is probably the reason why Valve is bringing matchmaking to the game.
According to a video posted by teamfortress.tv, the feature is currently high priority at the development studio. The guys in the video were at the offices of Valve where they were told that organized competitions is definitely something they want.
Apparently, you will be able to enter matchmade with lobbies and a quick play option. It is not clear but the matches could be 6v6 or 9v9 and might or might not come with the Highlander rule.
That being said, this was a report by an unofficial source, so I am going to wait for Valve to share details on the Team Fortress 2 matchmaking instead of just speculating.
Team Fortress 2 was released back in October 2007 and fans would understand when I say that it has been a long, long time coming for the said feature.
Looks like you guys are soon going to get much more to do in the game other than playing the mods.
