By   /   Apr 29, 2015

How many of you have missed those old Jay Z songs? We have! And that is exactly why we are super excited about the announcement he made earlier today. Jay Z will be performing live in New York’s yet-to-be disclosed location.

Tidal X: Jay Z B-Sides will be coming to NYC and that too absolutely free however, there is just one catch. In order to get free passes of the all throwback songs concert, users have to subscribe to Tidal, create a playlist, upload it on Twitter using #TIDALXJAYZ hash tag and ta-da.

Jay Z will be performing all the tracks that he has not performed in over a decade on May 13. Luckily for the new subscribers, Tidal is offering free 30 day trial which will let people enter the chance to win tickets without the subscription charges.

The playlist to be uploaded on Twitter does not necessarily have to contain songs only from Jay Z, the diversity of genres and artists is what will establish winners.

“Tidal is doing just fine. We have over 770,000 [subscriptions]. We have been in business less than one month. The iTunes Store wasn’t built in a day. It took Spotify nine years to be successful. We are here for the long haul. Please give us a chance to grow and get better.”

When asked about the progress of Tidal, Jay Z said that it has only been a month since they have started the business and they are doing just fine, with time they will eventually grow.

So all Jay Z fans get ready and start making your own playlists, be wise while choosing and you have until 8 May. Best of Luck!

To enter the contest head to Tidal right away!
