Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Adds Shredder to the Mix
We have all been waiting for way too long now to get news about the notorious Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 villain ‘The Shredder’. Now, we finally have some information about it. Paramount Pictures has cast Brian Tee as the franchise’s most persistent antagonist.
Although Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 has Baxter Stockman, Rocksteady and BeBop but fans love The Shredder the most. Brian Tee has joined the cast with Will Arnett (Verne Fenwick), William Ficthner (Eric Sacks) and Megan Fox (April O’Neill) reprising their roles.
The franchise has also cast some newcomers namely Stephen Amell (Arrow) as Casey Jones and Baxter Stockman will be played by Tyler Perry.
Previously, the character was played by Tohoru Masamune, known for Inception, but Tee replaced him for TNMT2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles featured Tony Shalhoub, Johnny Knoxville, Danny Woodburn, Noel Fisher, Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard and Alan Ritchson however, their return is not confirmed yet.
Brian Tee is most commonly known for his work on Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, The Wolverine and Mortal Kombat: Legacy. He recently finished shooting an NBC show directed by George Tillman Jr. titled ‘Love Is a 4 Letter Word’ written and produced by Diana Son. He will be next seen in Jurassic World facing the Indominus Rex as Takashi Hamada.
Paramount Pictures along with Michael Bay and Platinum Dunes duo Andrew Form and Brad Fuller will be producing. Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec have written the script for the sequel which David Green will be directing.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 will premiere on 3 June 2016.
