Additionally, pre-loading has also been activated for the game. Early buyers can go straight away and begin downloading the complete game to be ready for release day. The complete installation size currently comes about to 38GB.

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is priced $19.99 across all platforms and as mentioned before, will be a standalone, downloadable title that does not require you to previously own a copy of Wolfenstein: The New Order.

The prequel is set in 1946, several years before the events of the first game. Players will fill the shoes of B.J. Blazkowicz and tasked to play through two different parts of the story that will span across a total of eight chapters.

The first one is called Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves, and is related to finding the coordinates to the location of the compound of General Deathshead. It takes place at the Wolfenstein Castle and pits players against a “maniacal prison warden.”

The second one is called The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs. Players will arrive at the city of Wulfburg where they must face off against an obsessed Nazi archaeologist.

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood will release on May 5 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
