Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Will Get Rid of Supply Drops, Treyarch Confirms
This year’s COD; Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will not feature free or paid Supply Drops, Treyarch has confirmed.
Instead of Supply Drops, the game will feature Gunsmith and Paintshop which will allow extensive customization – never before seen in any previous Call of Duty title.
Using Gunsmith, players will be able to add up to five weapon attachments or optics in order to create a weapon which will complement their unique playstyle.
Paintshop, on the other hand, will allow players to create and apply their custom-created emblems and camo on their weapons. The feature will allow placing of 64 layers across the three sides of a weapon along with Carbon Fiber camo.
Gunsmith and Paintshop will further enhance weapon customization and user freedom in contrast to Supply Drops which were featured in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and provides players with a randomly customized weapon, perk, Double XP among other rewards.
In related Call of Duty news, Treyarch has confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will not focus on skill-based matchmaking as much as Advanced Warfare. You can read up more about it here.
