Black Ops 3 Debut Trailer and PC Minimum Requirements Revealed

Treyarch has released the first official trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

During the game’s full reveal in Santa Monica a few hours ago, the developer also revealed the minimum PC requirements for the game. I take it that once we reach closer to release date, only then will the developer unveil the recommended specifications.

  • Operating System: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit / Windows 8.1 64-Bit
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-530 @ 2.93 GHz / AMD Phenom™ II X4 810 @ 2.60 GHz
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 470 @ 1GB / ATI® Radeon™ HD 6970 @ 1GB
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

Treyarch also confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The windows version will in fact release with 4K support, which should make the elitist part happy. This news also ties in with the developer stating its full commitment to the PC version this year.

“There are no ‘ports'” Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia told Eurogamer. “The game is made on multiple platforms, it’s the beginning of a new generation and we’re showing it to you on all these platforms, to dispel some of the misconceptions about development.”

At this point, Activision has no further platforms to announce the game for.

The publisher has also confirmed that pre-ordering the game will guarantee you access in the open beta. As to when the beta will take place, that point was not clarified.
