Shovel Knight on Xbox One Has Passed Certification: Phil Spencer
The first time that Shovel Knight made it to the news was with its original release to Microsoft Windows back in June 2014. Since then, the 2D side scroller has been released on various platforms with PlayStation being the latest that got it today.
Next stop for Yatch Club Games, the developers, is the Xbox One release and interestingly, even that seems covered in due time for the release.
Phil Spencer the head of Xbox at Microsoft decided to reveal that the game has passed certification for their latest console i.e. Xbox One. Spencer came out with the announcement through his official Twitter profile with the following tweet:
Great news, I was just told that [Shovel Knight] just passed [certification]. Really looking forward to playing.
Now this means multiple things for the title. Firstly, it is clear that the game has gone gold i.e. it is past the basic developmental stage and is awaiting distribution. Secondly, it is pretty much evident that when the game arrives in a few days’ time, everyone is going to want to get a taste of it, including Spencer.
Shovel Knight is slated for a release to Xbox One on April 27, 2015. Moments ago it was released on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita and the Microsoft Windows, Linux, OS X, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U versions released before all this is 2014.
Have you played Shovel Knight on PlayStation yet? Would you recommend it to the Xbox One users?
