Star Wars Battlefront Won’t Support Split-Screen on PC
Some new details have been shared by DICE producer Craig Mcleod, and unfortunately PC gamers aren’t going to like it. Star Wars Battlefront will not support split-screen play.
The news was shared on Thursday with Wes Fenlon, it was also revealed that splitscreen will be supported on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
I would like to mention Resident Evil: Revelations 2 here. If you remember, offline co-op was missing from the PC version of the game, even though its Steam page suggested otherwise.
Interestingly, same is the case with Star Wars Battlefront. The game’s official description on Origin says: “Battle alongside your friends online or in offline split-screen Co-op mode.”
While Capcom added the feature after fans were outraged due to its Steam description, will DICE do the same with Battlefront?
It looks like they copy/pasted the game’s features on Origin without realizing their mistake. Why is split-screen not included in Star Wars Battlefront PC isn’t clarified, but we have reached DICE for some explanation.
Until they shed some light on the matter, why don’t we try and figure things out for ourselves?
When Capcom said they aren’t adding this feature in Revelations 2, they explained the reason behind it as well. The developers said they wanted to prioritize a single screen and give the best possible experience. PC gamers use a host of different visual settings, which became hurdle for developers.
Could same be the case with Battlefront? It seems possible to me. Check back with us for more updates on the matter and let us know of your take on the story below.
