It is being reported that Marvel and producer John Ridley are teaming up for a new TV show, which is untitled for now. The show will revolve around the reinvention of an existing superhero from Marvel’s Universe.

ABC TV network is looking into expanding business with John Ridley, as they already have American Crime a midseason drama together and Ridley being an Oscar winning producer has quite a few upsides on keeping him in.

The producer has a general deal with ABC studios, although ratings for American Crime are not spiking but the show might be going into its second season.

As far as Marvel is concerned, it has proven itself more than competent in pushing its diverse universe. They have the perfect experience in superhero shows/movies and with the addition of powerhouse, John Ridley the fans can expect a lot from it.
