EA’s digital platform Origin has begun taking pre-orders for Star Wars: Battlefront.

Purchasing a copy now guarantees owners with early access to the free Battle of Jakku DLC. The pack is scheduled for release on December 8, but early adopters will be able to begin play a week earlier on December 1.

Battle of Jakku includes two maps set on the planet Jakku introduced in the upcoming film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It finds the New Republic coming across Imperial holdouts on the remote desert planet located in the Outer Rim.

The digital Standard Edition of Star Wars: Battlefront is currently priced at $59.99. The digital Deluxe Edition however is $69.99 and includes instant access to the following five in-game items:

  • DL44 blaster – as made famous by Han Solo
  • Ion Grenade
  • Ion Torpedo
  • Ion Shock (exclusive emote)
  • Victory (exclusive emote)

The PlayStation Store has its own incentive for PlayStation 4 players. Pre-ordering the game from there will get you a PlayStation 4 Star Wars: Battlefront static theme. You’ll get access to the theme immediately after pre-ordering.

Retailers Amazon and GameStop have also jumped into the ring and are currently taking pre-orders for all three platforms.

Just an hour ago , the game received its first reveal trailer which you can watch through the following link. It without a doubt will convince you of pre-ordering the game now.

Star Wars: Battlefront is pegged for a release on November 17 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
