Another Madden NFL game is heading our way this year as confirmed by EA  in a blog post. The company has revealed that Madden NFL 16 is in development and will be released on August 25th.

We can say for sure that Madden will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but there is no guarantee EA will continue supporting PS3 and Xbox 360. The blog post wasn’t helpful in this regard as well.

EA hasn’t shared anything about the new game, no videos, screenshots or anything else. However, the company did say that it will be sharing substantial information sometime in May.

Hey football fans, we’re sure you’re getting pumped for the NFL Draft, and now there’s one more thing to get excited about: Madden NFL 16 is in development and will launch on August 25, 2015.

We’ll be sharing news, features and more details starting in May, so keep an eye on the official Madden NFL website, Facebook and Twitter pages for more info.

That’s all there is to it for the time being.

On a related note, Madden hasn’t faced any serious competition so far, but that may change soon. Joe Montana – the renowned NFL Quarterback – is working on his own football game. Some evidence suggest that  Microsoft could publish the game exclusively for Xbox platforms.

Licensing is the only issue, but if Microsoft supports the game, that means they have something figured out. We’ll know more about this developing story in the coming weeks. So stay-tuned for further information.
