Beware! Super Smash Bros MewTwo Glitch Blocks Online Play, Nintendo is Working on it

Super Smash Bros MewTwo DLC

Only two days ago Nintendo starting doling out download links for the MewTwo DLC too everyone who owns both the 3DS and Wii U versions of Super Smash Bros. However, soon after that a glitch was spotted that got triggered after the DLC was used.

Apparently, once you downloaded MewTwo, played with her on Wii U and happened to beat the 10-Man Smash mode with her, the game rewarded you by corrupting your save data and in other cases blocking the online play.

Yeah, and the alleged reason behind that is even more comical; if you got blocked out of online play due to this, the reason is that your Super Smash Bros considered your play with MewTwo as an attempt to cheat – although you might not even be thinking of it.

Thankfully, Nintendo caught wind of the issue when Club Nintendo players started complaining and as a result they have issued a statement. They have confirmed that developers are currently working on the fix to this problem.

They have also clarified that the game is somehow regarding the MewTwo data as a hack and it is something that can also be triggered on Nintendo 3DS. Furthermore, they went on to say that specific modes when played with MewTwo trigger the glitch which means it is not just one mode that is at risk.

Any how, here is the list of game modes that have been affected:

Wii U

Hopefully, Nintendo will rectify the damage done and issue a patch, but we suggest you steer clear of these modes in Super Smash Bros for now.
