Pokken is being directed by Katsuhiro Harada, the veteran known for his work on Tekken series. In Pokken Tournament, you will see plenty of Pokémon battle each other for supremacy. The game is being tested in the Japanese Arcades and is slated for summer 2015 release window.

For now the game is exclusive to the Japanese market, but we have been hearing rumors of a western release; hopefully, something will be announced soon.

Pokken is a bit different from your average arcade fighting games. Unlike others, which are played using joysticks, Pokken uses a console-like controller which indicates towards a console version of the game. So far things are quiet in this regard, but rumors are circulating regarding an announcement.
