Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Can Be Completed Using Stealth Alone
Stealth is going to play a very important role in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. In fact it will be large enough to allow players to completely go through the entire game using stealth alone. Additionally, this time around players will also be able to remain unseen to come out victorious in boss battles.
This important aspect was confirmed by executive game director Jean-Francois Dugas, who when responding to a question on Twitter about the “ghost” element confirmed: “As always and even on boss side, finally!”
This is good news for those who have played Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Even though it offered a good stealth setup, the game’s boss battles were criticized for limited combat options. Eidos Montreal would later admit that the boss fights had been outsourced to another developer and hence the difference.
Dugas also confirmed that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will feature a hardcore stealth mode called Give Me Deus Ex, and presently the developer is exploring options for a New Game Plus mode.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided was revealed last week by Square Enix as a sequel to the franchise. The game is set two years later after the events of Human Revolution. Protagonist Adam Jensen is now working for Interpol to hunt down augmented terrorists in a world that has come to despise cybernetically enhanced humans.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. A release date has not been revealed.
