Cobie Smulders aka Maria Hill Will Return to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2
Cobie Smulders who played the character of Maria Hill in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D will be returning to its second season as a guest. Smulders confirmed on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday that she will be appearing in one of the episodes, she did not reveal any other detail.
To be precise, she said that her character links TV show with the movie and she pops up every now and then to maintain that link. The specifics of her characters remain unknown, or about which side she will be choosing. Will she decide to take Gonzales’ or Coulson’s side remains a mystery.
“There is one coming up. I pop in every now and again to link the two worlds – the two worlds being the movies and the TV show – together.”
Throughout the show so far what we have noticed is how Coulson has been keeping secrets from everyone around him. When this mystery is revealed, truth will be faceless and everyone will doubt his actions.
“This is the biggest secret that Coulson has carried in the series and the reveal will greatly affect how he’s viewed not only by Gonzales’ S.H.I.E.L.D., but also by Coulson’s team. One of the big stories this season has been the shift in Coulson’s attitude, from the season premiere where he’s running secret missions within secret missions to the revelation that he’s kept Deathlok’s covert ops hidden from his team. As the stakes have changed, Coulson’s methods have changed and not everyone will be accepting, even if he’s doing it for the right reasons.”
What we believe or the general theory about Hill’s character is when she returns; she will play the role of a ‘peace maker’ and will try to unite Gonzales and Coulson maybe for the time being but it will ease things out.
However, if she would be able to pull it off remains in question. In order to fight the new Hydra leader, solving the issue and fighting as one will be of significant importance.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. -The Frenemy of My Enemy airs on 21 April on ABC.
