New Avengers: Age of Ultron Featurette Highlights Costumes and Concept Art
While we all wait anxiously for the premiere of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Marvel has released a new clip highlighting Costumes and Concept Art. It breaks down for us the costumes of Thor, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.
The marketing team for Age of Ultron is doing it quite right, every time we let the new Avenger movie skip our mind, pops up a new spot or behind the scene footage. But this recent clip about costume makes it even more interesting. Costumes in Superheroes movies can make or break it.
As said by the heroes themselves, these costumes are by far the most comfortable and cool with the LEDs that don’t look funny or weird. Costume Designer Alexandra Byrne says that this installment’s costumes are practical and tactically crafted.
Director Joss Whedon says in the video that they want to introduce something new to keep up with the fan expectation but they do not want to change it entirely because they want viewers to know when these characters come up.
“Something a little bit new but at the same time we want to know when they show up.”
Chris Hemsworth (Thor) says that his costume gets more comfortable each time even with the metals attached to it. Black Widow has some tricks up her sleeve; a team of electricians were brought in to enhance several moves through light.
Avengers: Age of Ultron hits cinemas on May 1.
