Project X Zone 2 Announced for Nintendo 3DS, Western Release Confirmed As Well

It has been two and a half years since Project Zone X was originally released in Japan, don’t you think that is enough time to wait for the sequel?

Actually it is, and now Monolith Software has announced Project Zone X 2: Brave New World alongside a trailer which you can see above.

In case you don’t know what makes this a game you should have; it is a cross over strategy RPG that bring onboard characters from numerous highly popular IPs like Tekken, Yakuza, DMC and Resident Evil.

Here’s an excerpt from the announcement post that describes the game’s interesting character lineup:

Developed by Monolith Software Inc, Project X Zone 2 gives gamers the opportunity to play as their favorite characters from a multitude of franchises including Tekken, Tales of Vesperia, .hack// series from Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.; Resident Evil series, Devil May Cry series, Megaman X from Capcom as well as Yakuza: Dead Souls, Sakura Wars, and Virtua Fighter from Sega Interactive Co.,Ltd / Sega Games Co.,Ltd, with many others to be revealed. Players will form teams of characters hailing from these classic franchises and engage enemies through strategic turn-based battles.

Wait it gets better, Project X Zone 2 was originally announced for Japan only but moments later the western release has also been confirmed.

Project X Zone 2 is being developed exclusively for Nintendoo 3DS.
