Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Said To Include Too Many Quick-Time Events
Earlier today Namco Bandai announced that Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 would be reaching western shores this Fall on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Hours following that announcement, news has come to light that the game might be relying too much on the dreaded quick-time events.
A player who was able to get his hands on a copy of the game at the recent Namco Bandai Level Up event stated that one of the game’s enemies was repeatedly using quick-time events in battles. It’s unknown if this was an isolated incident or not. Nonetheless he had this to say:
Madara did seem to have an over-reliance on repeating the same special move that flung me across the arena and forced me to do a QTE, which could get annoying if this is something that happens in every fight, but it could just be the cinematic nature of this one fight in particular. After doing a certain amount of damage to Madara I was able to break his Armour and Weapons, which I assume makes him weaker, but it was all so fast paced I didn’t particularly notice if it did or not, but it felt pretty good.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is going to feature a new Leader System where players will be able to browse through their support characters and change the team leader in the middle of a battle. Other than that players can look forward to new combinations of Ultimate Jutsus featuring the Hyuga Clan Ultimate Jutsu which includes Hinata, Neji in addition to two other characters from the Naruto film.
A solid release date of the game will be provided in the months to come.
