“Adventure Runner” Lara Croft: Relic Run Announced for Mobile Devices
Crystal Dynamics has today announced Lara Croft: Relic Run, an “adventure runner” for mobile devices.
Featuring a free-to-play model, players have been promised a diverse experience with lots of content to go through. There will be loads of collectibles and treasures to find, and seeing that the game features fast-paced gameplay, grabbing on to those ledges might be a real challenge.
“Many of you have correctly mused that Relic Run is an adventure runner, and at its core it is, but we feel that it’s much more than that,” the studio stated on its Tomb Raider Tumblr. “Relic Run offers a massive amount of diversity in play, allowing for seamless transitions between acrobatic-inspired running, combat, vehicles, and epic boss fights, including but not limited to the return of the infamous T-Rex.”
According to Crystal Dynamics, Lara Croft: Relic Run carries a nostalgic factor which will take you back to the earlier games in the franchise.
The game is currently only available in the Netherlands for both iOS and Android as part of a soft launch. It however will see to a global release in the coming months, as well for Windows 8 Phones.
