Why Scott Eastwood Declined the Fifty Shades of Grey Role

I wonder how much Scott Eastwood would be regretting for passing out on Fifty Shades of Grey (Although he says he does not regret the decision and it just was not for him). Exactly what Emilia Clarke said when she said no to Fifty Shades of Grey.

Both stars blamed it on nudity, but Eastwood had another reason for passing on the box office hit and that is ‘No Script’. Considering that the movie has grossed over $580.2 million worldwide, they ought to regret their decision.

Variety reports that when Charlie Hunnam left the project and before the role was given to Jamie Dornan, it was offered to Eastwood, but apparently he never went to audition. He believed that he cannot get stuck in a production without knowing what they have to offer.

“They wanted me to sign a deal before I went in and even tested for it, which to me is backwards. I thought it could make a good movie. The problem is, if you don’t have a script, you don’t know what movie they are going to make.”

Scott Eastwood is the son of legendary Clint Eastwood. Although he has previously done ‘smaller’ roles, he is on the upswing now. The Longest Ride based on a novel from Nicholas Sparks is his most recent project, it will premiere on 19 June in UK and it has been released in the US already.
