Spiders Announces The Technomancer, a Post-Apocalyptic Cyberpunk RPG

By   /   Apr 10, 2015

The Technomancer is a new post-apocalyptic cyberpunk RPG from Spiders Games, the maker of Bound by Flame, which is slated for a 2016 release.

It is set on Mars during “the War of Water,” which at the moment we can only assume from the name alone that humanity has reached that point where water is a scarce resource and one which is fought over.

Players play as the Technomancer, who is described as a “combat proficient warrior” with a range of enhanced abilities through the magic of cybernetics. From the given image, players will (at least) start out with a gruesome sword.

The game will include a “dynamic crafting system” through which players can alter the visual appearance of their weapons and armor. Additionally, players will “bond with numerous unique and interesting companions and reveal secrets about their past.”

Let’s hope that translates into having companions for your quests, which incidentally will take you through tribal communities, cities buried under ice, and dystopian shanties sparwled across Mars.

According to Spiders Games, there will be a total of five different endings to unlock once you’re through its diverse story elements.

The Technomancer is in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
