Industry analyst Michael Pachter has predicted that both Mirror’s Edge 2 and Mass Effect 4 will officially release before the end of March 2016.

In a new report published by research company Wedbush, Pachter noted that EA has a very strong presence on the next-gen consoles, and which “positions the company to thrive in coming years.”

“FY:16 is expected to feature incremental releases Mass Effect 4, Mirror’s Edge 2, a new Need For Speed game, and Star Wars: Battlefront, as well as meaningful re-orders for Battlefield Hardline, which launched in late Q4:15.”

EA’s 2016 fiscal year runs from April 2015 to March 2016. While there have been no official release date confirmations, Star Wars: Battlefront and Need for Speed are both expected to release around Christmas this year.

Mirror’s Edge 2, which was announced as a reboot of DICE’s 2008 first-person action platformer, has been missing from the news lately. We’ll probably be hearing more about it once EA is done finalizing the release of this year’s mega titles.

Mirror’s Edge 2 will focus on the origins of Faith, whois promised to have a “broader move set” and some new abilities, such as being able to round corners while running across walls.

As for Mass Effect 4, the game still remains to be formally named. BioWare has been teasing development updates through its developer’s Twitter accounts. It’s assumed that the game will be making an appearance at E3 2015 and where we’ll probably get a solid release date and new information.

That said, a highly hyped game such as a new Mass Effect would probably do better in the holiday season. We’ll see if EA switches its schedule around next year.
