Yesterday’s Nintendo Direct brought forward tons of news related to dozens of exciting titles and projects that are coming our way.

One of those titles is Splatoon and it got boatloads of important details at the event.

First and the foremost, Nintendo has finally put a release date on the game, Splatoon will be out spraying ink all over the markets on May 29!

Next up, the officials also confirmed a much requested feature i.e. Amiibo support. Three figurines were shown off namely Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy and Inkling Squid. Now I know what you are thinking, but no, you cannot buy the Inkling Squid separately.

The three Amiibo figures come in a bundle that has to be bought as a whole; other than that, only the Inking Boy and Inkling Girl are purchasable separately.

A new trailer was also shown off at the Nintendo Direct where new game maps were revealed as well as Battle Dojo where you get to take part in 1v1 battles. There also will be 4v4 online multiplayer battles that will help decide your rank.

Check out the video above and tell us if you think Splatoon is the kind of a game you would want to spend your money on.
