House of Lies Renewed for Season 5, Doesn’t Fail to Deliver

Showtime has announced on Tuesday that they are renewing their dark comedy House of Lies for season five.

The show is based on Martin Kihn’s book House Of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch And Tell You The Time. Matthew Carnahan is the creator and Executive Producer of the series. David Walpert Jessika Borsiczky and Don Cheadle worked on the fourth season as Executive Producers.

Gary Levine, Showtime Networks’ executive v.p of original programming says that House of Lies gives something special to the network each year.

“When you have a gifted acting ensemble led by Don Cheadle and smart, acerbic writing led by showrunner Matthew Carnahan, you expect something special, and ‘House of Lies’ delivers for us each season.”

In House of Lies; storyline goes something like this, a management company that will do anything just to be paid and for the getting business.

Last season, Marty (Cheadle) was imprisoned and left the firm hanging with the chandelier and Jeannie (Kristen Bell) pregnant. So now, Clyde, Doug and Kaan & Associates are in Jeannie hands.

Cheadle has won Golden Globe in 2002, along with nominations in both Emmy Award and Golden Globe for the House of Lies.

Although the premiere date is not official but Showtime expects the show to air in 2016.
