Stephen Amell Joins Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Cast

Paramount and Platinum Dunes have announced yet another addition to the cast of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. The fan favorite character Casey Jones lands in Stephen Amell’s plate.

Details about Jones’ character and other returning characters along with the plot of the upcoming sequel remain unknown.

Jones’ character in the previous TMNT was a loner who decides to fight the crime and takes it upon himself to defeat the criminals. His choice of weapon remains a hockey stick, although he is capable of using other weapons, and covers his face with a hockey mask to hide his identity.

Megan Fox will reprise her role as April O’Neil who plays Jones’ love interest. Stephen Amell will join the cast alongside Alessandra Ambrosio, Will Arnett, and William Fichtner.

Platinum Dunes’ famous trio Brad Fuller, Andrew Form and Michael Bay will be producing the movie with Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec writing the script. David Green will direct the sequel.

Variety reports that Stephen Amell (Arrow) auditioned with tons of other actors but his chemistry with April O’Neil was the best.

The last TMNT grossed $191 million domestically and it was then the producers announced a sequel without knowing of the cast or the directors. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is expected to spend around $63 million only in New York City.
