Silent Hills Website Removes Kojima Productions’ Logo!

Okay this is interesting, fans of Hideo Kojima and/ or Konami would know of the relationship between the two parties and how it has apparently been strained recently.

What appears like another addition to the same has come in the form of a news we have picked up moments ago. Gamespot has spotted a change in the Silent Hills P.T. website.

As you can see in the images below, previously the website had the logo of Kojima Productions at the bottom. However, if you visit the website now, you will see that Konami seems to have removed it from there. Instead, only the logo of Fox Engine remains.

Could this be related to the fallout between the two parties in question?

If you remember, something similar had happened in the case of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Despite statements from Konami that they are going to continue working together on the title and confirmations from Hideo Kojima that he was going to be 100 percent involved in the development of The Phantom Pain, doubts remained.

So now, Konami was asked what it meant in terms of Silent Hills development. They didn’t really explain things in their reply but confirmed a structural change in their own company:

Konami has switched from a studio-based to a headquarters-based organization, so [Kojima Productions] wouldn’t be listed as a studio anymore. At this time, there are no additional updates to share.

There also are rumors that Kojima might leave Konami after they are done with MGS5: The Phantom Pain, that would certainly mean a major difference in the way we look at Silent Hills, won’t it?
