Project M 3.6 Announced for Super Smash Bros.

By   /   2 years ago

Project M has released a brand new trailer to announce the new version 3.6 for its Super Smash Bros. Brawl mod.

The latest version is going to add new stages like Bowser’s Castle, Super Mario Sunshine’s secret stage, as well as remastered versions of classic battlefields like Saffron City and Peach’s Castle from Super Smash Bros. on Nintendo 64.

Alongside that are new alternate costumes to current characters like the Mecha-Godzilla look for Charizard. There is a new range of music, new sounds and announcer recordings. Other smaller improvements include character icons to replace the stock counter and new music.

The surprise announcement was made a couple of days ago at Aftershock, a major tournament in Texas. The trailer however, makes no mention of any release date, and neither was it revealed by the Project M developer team present at the event.

For now, the game is labelled with a vague “coming soon” sticker.

Inspired by Super Smash Bros. Melee’s gameplay, Project M’s Brawl modification is a take on the same style but with richer textures, enhanced speed of play, and a balanced gameplay across its roster screen.

Project M employs new codes which seamlessly add in new, universal features to the entire cast to add technical variety to all characters.
