Square Enix May Add Female Party Members for Final Fantasy XV

Game Director Hajime Tabata has responded to the results of a recent Final Fantasy XV survey, and from his statements we might get to see some of those requests taken into consideration.

Speaking with Famitsu magazine for this week’s issue, Tabata revealed that there were quite a few requests of seeing a female character join the party.

“There’s a chance that we may have female characters participate as guests in the party,” said Tabata. “Since [the party] is made up of only men, you might even get to see their behavior change when there’s a lady around.”

So that’s something for players to look forward to. Be ready on the lookout for female companions that you might come across during your questing who will be willing to tag along for sometime.

Aside that, there were also a lot of suggestions to improve the battle system in several categories. According to the director, the demo’s battle system was only at 50 percent in terms of progress. Square Enix still has a lot of work to do, and it will be taking into consideration all of the feedback it has received so far.

“We’d like to thoroughly respond to the improvement requests. The full version will feature new elements such as magic and cooperative chains, so I believe it will be completely different.”

Final Fantasy XV is in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it is expected to release later this year.
